David Bowie was born 1947 in Brixton, in 1953 he moved to Bromley and went to Burnt Ash Junior School. In 1962 he formed his first band. Bowie joined forces with Finnigan, Christina Ostrom and Barrie Jackson to run a folk club on Sunday nights at the Three Tuns pub in Beckenham High Street.
